What we believe about God shapes how we build our lives.
What we believe about Jesus shapes how we build our Faith.
In order for us to truly build a full life, we need to trust God. In order to truly trust Him, we have to come to grips on who we believe He is. If we
If we believe God is mean, how could we ever fully trust Him? If we believe He punishes people and causes bad things to happen, we will always keep our guard up expecting something bad to happen. Ever been there?
The truth is, God is not just a loving Father, God is love. Love is who He is…. God cannot operate outside of His nature. His desire is to bring Heaven to your life, so much so that He sent His son, Jesus, to die on a cross so that we can be with Him forever.
Don’t let the scrapes of life change your beliefs. Our feelings will get hurt, we will experience loss. Things will happen that we cannot explain.
His desire is that these moments would drive us closer to Him, not further away. He shows us His sacrifice of Jesus serves as an eternal reminder that we are not alone in a tough time and He has made a way out for us.
His sacrifice for us makes the way for us to experience True Love for eternity.
This brings us to Jesus. Jesus is the person, the moment, the sacrifice, the choice that changes everything forever.
The Word was first, the Word present to God, God present to the Word. The Word was God, in readiness for God from day one. Everything was created through him; nothing—not one thing! – came into being without him. What came into existence was Life, and the Life was Light to live by. The Life-Light blazed out of the darkness; the darkness couldn’t put it out. – John 1
Jesus is ALL God and ALL Man who came down to show us a tangible expression of the depth of God’s love.
It is important who understand who He is.
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace, Victorious One, Truth, The Source of Faith, The Word, Resurrection and Life, Lord of All, Bread of Life, Alpha and Omega, Beginning and the End, Truth, Love, Almighty One, Lion of Judah, Our Hope, Prince of Peace, The Power to Overcome, Victory, Close to Us…
It is Vital that we also understand who Jesus is Not.
Jesus is not distant. – He is with you Always. He is present in every circumstance to bring light and make a way through the darkness.
Jesus is not limited – Jesus has power and authority over ALL circumstances. He has power to overcome in an instant what we couldn’t overcome in a lifetime.
Jesus is not disappointed in you – His Love endures all things. He is never leaving, He can not love you any more than He does right now. His love is not earned. It is given freely.
Jesus is not Done – He is not done with your life. Your best days are in front of you. He is not done with SIckness, Poverty, Hate. He is just getting started.
Jesus never closes the door… on Anyone
He came so that ALL (Every Person) would have the opportunity to experience and know that love of God. He is asking us to hold it open for everyone. He held it open for us so we would hold it open for others.
In a time when so many what to divide, we need to unify… when others want to point out what is wrong, we need to speak life and encourage people to keep going…. When others want to close the door, we need to use all our strength to hold is open and Let the world know that the Love of God is for every one of us,
The world is dying for displays of:
Love that reaches the unreachable.
Kindness that encourages and forgives continuously.
Generosity that gives sacrificially to help people they don’t know.
Faith that believes what is otherwise impossible.
Hope that never gives up.
Through Jesus, All of this is possible and we are his answer.
Hold That Door Open for someone else as we remember who held it open for us….
